There’s that moment, right? You’re at the top, you’ve clicked in. Your heart is high in your chest. The air is cold in your throat. You reach down and jab the snow with your poles, to feel it, to set yourself on the earth. And then you think, ‘Well, fuck it. Here I go.’
How far can I take something and still keep it decent and consistent? How much should I be aware of the world outside, and how much should I focus on my inner world? I am very grateful to know how to work with nature … I can recognize when, what, how much… so that I can connect everything with my creative work, from which I live.
